About the Role

RBK Business Accountants is looking for a detail-driven Junior Bookkeeper with hands on experience in Xero, Sage Online Accounting, Pastel, and QuickBooks online. You’ll be responsible for accurate bookkeeping to Trial Balance, VAT compliance, and client support across multiple accounting systems.

This role requires someone who genuinely enjoys communicating and building relationships with clients — because you’ll spend a significant amount of time interacting with them.

What You Will Bring

  1. 2–5 years’ bookkeeping experience (accounting firm/client portfolio exposure preferred).
  2. Strong working knowledge of Xero and Sage Business Online Accounting. Experience with QuickBooks online and Zoho Books will be considered an advantage.
  3. Proven ability to complete bookkeeping to Trial Balance and perform reconciliations accurately.
  4. Thorough understanding of VAT legislation and correct VAT processing.
  5. Payroll experience will be considered an advantage.
  6. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality standards.
  7. Ability to steward time and manage workload effectively without needing constant oversight.
  8. Tech-savvy, with a willingness to embrace new technologies and AI.
  9. Excellent communication skills, and the maturity to maintain healthy boundaries while delivering exceptional client service.
  10. Innovative, proactive, problem solver, who is an independent thinker with the ability to solve problems and improve processes.
